I've been in the body of Christ for over 22 years. I was called to preach and teach the word of God in 2001. It wasnt until 2004 that I officially start to proclaim the simple truth of God. After spending 22 years in the local church, I realized there were more questions than answers as I studied. After praying and studying and asking God to open my eyes. I realize that materialism and greed have taken over SOME places of worship. The more I studied the more questions I had. Then I realized our issues today is the same issues as what the disciples had back then as it relates to materialism and greed. In 2 Peter 2:2 from the NLT it said Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality, and because of these teachers, the way of the truth will be slandered. Jesus and the diciples took these issues on and so must we. It is not ok to sit and watch greedy man and women slander the word of God for gain. In 2 Peter 2:3 [NLT] it said In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed.
